Rocklands Primary School is a small, friendly school with bags of character. We are part of a Federation with Great Ellingham Primary School and share an Executive Head teacher and Governing Board.
The school is situated on The Street in Victorian buildings with 20th Century extensions. The space provides three attractive class bases, including a Foundation and Key Stage 1 learning area and improved outside canopied area. At the rear of the premises is a play area which includes a covered climbing wall and outdoor exercise equipment.
As soon as you step into our entrance hall/library and see our displays we hope you will see what a vibrant place it is. Staff, pupils, parents and governors of Rocklands make ours a highly successful learning community. Children of Rocklands School are lucky to be currently taught in small class groups, where they achieve good results. We are delighted with the Book Nook, opened in September 2017, which is full of exciting books to inspire our pupils to enjoy reading.
Rocklands is federated with Great Ellingham Primary School. Our Head teacher leads both schools and within the partnership there are opportunities for staff to share expertise and for pupils to work and play together. Shared events have included an International Week, annual sports activity days and a week studying different artists.
Our good Ofsted report is available here. In September 2023 Ofsted found that Rocklands remains a GOOD school.
